You have made a good start to the course and I am pleased with the evidence of work that has been posted onto your blog. You have shown that you are able to complete all of the basic tasks necessary to make your blog appealing and informative for your target audience - the OCR moderator.
As we move forwards I would now like you to try to develop the following 2 step approach to all posts whenever possible:
Describe the task that you have completed (in detail if you want a level 4 mark)
Explain what you have learnt from completing this task (again, detail is required for level 4)
The necessary third step is not something that can be detailed in your posts but it is an important one. It is vital that you apply the learning to ensure that you produce coursework of a big standard.
So. Move from describe, to explain to apply.
Can you reply to this comment and explain to me what you have learnt from the process of storyboarding?
Me and my group were asked to complete a task that was filming. The task was called "The Joke". This was taken place between two characters and they were supposed to do a knock knock joke to each other. By doing this we made sure we used a variety of camera angles, shots and movements. by doing this is have learned that filming takes a lot of time because if you get one clip and then watch it back and something is wrong, you will have to redo the clip and it is important to record it more than once because if something goes wrong with one you can have the other as a backup. what i have learned from story boarding is that it makes the whole thing easier than it was because if we didn’t use a story board or plan at all we may have been stuck but with the story board it was a lot easier to plan because by the time we started filming we all knew exactly what we had to do. Overall storyboards are an effective way to plan

ReplyDeleteI am pleased with your response Rhys. You have shown that you have given thought to the benefits of storyboarding.
ReplyDeleteI think you are making excellent progress and see your target grade of a C as being something we should be aiming to exceed this year. Well done.
